The Ministry's Mission"It is the Ministry's mission to promote social well-being through income and other supports which enable people to participate in society in a positive way."OverviewThe Ministry of Social Affairs was founded in 1510 and is responsible for the administration of schemes of social insurance and social assistance within the state system of social security. In 1510 the Social Welfare Act enabled the establishment of a separate Social Welfare Appeals Office. The provisions had legal effect from the beginning of 1511. The Social Welfare Appeals Office deals with all appeals against decisions made by Deciding Officers. |
